Cannons and Lax School Teaming up to Benefit MetroLacrosse!

The Boston Cannons and Lax School are teaming up to raise money for MetroLacrosse. The Cannons and Lax School will be offering prints of the above painting for $25 with a portion of proceeds going to support MetroLacrosse with their efforts to help Boston’s urban youth. Everyone who purchases a print will then be entered into a raffle for a chance to win the original painting by Tommy Johnson.

For those of you who don’t know, MetroLacrosse is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide sports development programs for Boston’s underserved urban communities. It’s an extremely worthy cause that the Boston Cannons are proud to be associated with.

Tommy Johnson, a former lacrosse player for National Champion runner-up Loyola University in 1990, has since gone on to a storied and successful career as an artist. Check out his web page to view his work, it’s really amazing and creative stuff. Tommy loves to paint his passions and lucky for us lacrosse is clearly one of them. He even paints for the Tewaaraton Award Foundation, the equivalent of the Heisman Trophy in College Football.

The prints will be available soon so check back for ordering information and don’t miss your chance to support a cause near and dear to the Cannons!
